Let's face it... Breaking up is HARD! I mean, here you have this person that you mutually love, mutually trust, mutually understand, and yet, some awful situation or awful buildup of situations, which cause the two of you to part ways. I've been there and it sucks! It doesn't just suck because you're not with her anymore -- it also feels that way because YOU STILL LOVE HER. You still have feelings for her. You know you've had some bumps in the road, but you know that you two are meant for each other. What compounds on this feeling even more, is that you know deep down, your significant other feels the same way! Perhaps this is the reason you feel disheartened, depressed, perplexed, upset, and shattered. Just when you think the feeling cannot possibly get any worse, your ex may begin seeing someone else.
